Who’s Washing Up Today?

For the past 15 years, neighbourhood volunteers at Buurtbrök 't Potterieke in Pottenberg have been cooking daily meals for local residents. Elderly people and those living alone can enjoy a hot meal for €3 or a soup or “uitsmijter” for €2.50. Each day, 30 guests dine in, and 10 meals are collected for takeaway. The focus is on community and care: regular guests are called if they fail to show up, and volunteers deliver meals to those who are unwell. With the growing demand, a dishwasher is needed to ease the workload for the volunteers.
